For a serene moment, stand beneath Bloedel Reserve’s dense tree canopy and sink your toes into the thick carpet of moss on the forest floor. Fortunately, an entire section of the gardens in the reserve is devoted to moss. The Moss Garden grows over 15 varieties of indigenous mosses that have developed and spread naturally over the rocks and trees, including Eurhynchium prealongumBrachythedium frigidum and Rhytidiadelphus loreus.
