In Atlanta for the weekend? Want to check out three fantastic garden shops and a small garden center in between sampling the city’s fantastic restaurant scene and beautiful botanical garden? Even in a short weekend trip, Atlanta doesn’t disappoint. From classic and traditional to artistic and crafts-driven to funky and fun, we’ve chosen three of our favorite garden shops and garden center. In between shopping, take a side-trip to Atlanta’s wonderful botanic garden. By car, it’s possible to visit all in a leisurely weekend of garden shopping.
Beautiful and unusual arrangements of flowers, moss, lichen and woodland ephemera are created in Boxwood’s floral studio. The rear conservancy and terraced gardens are completed with a variety of funky out buildings that are used for storage and staging the shop’s active landscape design business. The gardens are less like a nursery and more like a series of outdoor living spaces where plants, statuary and furniture are artfully arranged. There are plenty of ideas here for any traditional garden with stylish details and on trend vignettes interpreted via the store’s mix of old and new.
