In a crowded Japanese cityscape, glass boxes by ON Design Partners are stacked like the urban towers that surround them. Inside, discrete plantings provide a connection to nature and fresh vegetables for nearby restaurants.

-Check out this garden shed/greenhouse, designed by Finnish architects Avanto Architects, by Ville Hara and designer Linda Bergroth for Kekkilä Garden’s Home & Garden collection. It is a pre-fab shed, combined with a greenhouse, that can be assembled with just a screwdriver. This particular model is designer Linda Bergroth's summer cottage, on a distant island is eastern Finland.

Pop-Up French Greenhouses

For three days during the gray month of November, Parisians were surprised with pop-up bubbles—greenhouses filled with hanging plants, seemingly appearing about of nowhere. Actually, these bubbles were the project of the Flower Council of Holland, and were designed by French designer Amaury Gallon, who is well known for his vertical gardens.
