A three-sided ipe box, the cover, when moved off the tub, slides on steel rails for 40 feet through the garden, the fairer ipe contrasting with horizontal California redwood walls darkened with Cabot stain. As it rolls, the cover morphs into three features. One, when the tub is in use, it offers a deck for sunbathing and toe dangling.
