The new outdoor fabrics by Doug and Gene Meyer hearken to those lazy, gracious, insouciant lost times on the patio or at the cabana. The Meyer brothers, who divide their time between Miami and New York, had already made a name for themselves with their lines of rugs when they were approached by Link Design Solutions to design outdoor fabrics. Their solution-dyed line comes in nine patterns; there’s even fringe, which has generally faded from the outdoor design scene. “With the repetition of a single motif (à la Warhol) all on white or beige grounds, plus beautiful clear color, our collection makes for a nonironic, anti-cool and slightly traditional statement,” says Gene Meyer. Next up for the Meyer brothers and Link: a line of outdoor furniture to debut this summer, all the better for those fringed pillows. Fabric at linkoutdoor.com — Beth Dunlop
