What's Your Zone?

In 2012, the U.S. Department of Agriculture updated their climate zone map for the first time since 1990, and two new zones were added to the new map. It’s also much more interactive than previous maps—the USDA’s new site allows gardeners to type in their zip code and determine their exact zone. Many regions have become warmer, relative to the old maps, which means that new types of plants may flourish in your garden and colder regions may be able to overwinter more delicate plants than previously believed.
