What ornamental plants, fruits, vegies are compatible with backyard chickens running free? Portland OR. Japanese theme garden.

I think mature oak trees might be safe from chickens. I am pretty sure a vegetable garden would be doomed.
I have read that ducks are very efficient slug removers. Some of them have great personalities. Not to say chickens don't. But chickens are designed to scratch.
