In sept/ oct 2011 issue pg 14 article "starting green"  upper left hand photo  what is the name of plant spilling over the top of stone wall?

We're going to be featuring more of that My Garden on Friday! I'm not totally sure, and we'll have to look at the photo close-up, but I think it's clematis.

We've emailed the owner for an answer (Lindsey Taylor, our style director shot down my guess of clemantis because of the season). Our Twitter followers think: Deutzia crenata Nikko - Dwarf Deutzia or Cerastium tormentosum (Snow in summer). Probably the Deutzia, Lindsey thinks.

Yes, the owner confirms it is Deutzia gracilis ‘Nikko’!
