What are some good plants for a winter windowbox in the city?

I'm tired of my three big windows looking so bare in the cold months.  Any ideas?

How about a small rosemary bush or some other evergreen plant?

Evergreens would be easiest - either cut greens (these will turn brown in Jan if you have full sun) or try intermingling greens w/something grey like dusty miller plants or beech branches would bring in a bronze color. I've also seen gravpevine topiaries w/mini lights set amongst the greens.

What to plant will be determined on the facing direction, season, accessibility and desired use. A spring herb garden can be created. For year-round interest rosemary is great. Geraniums make a beautiful easy window box plant when temperatures aren't freezing. So ask yourself where the window box will be placed, what time of year will you want interest and what uses will the plantings serve.

You can create spring herb garden. Interest of Rosemary is a great all year round. Geranium flower color gorgeous, beautiful easy to plant a window box temperature does not freeze. Placing window boxes, so ask yourself what time of year you want to interest and what to plant trees as a service. _______________ tissot classic dream mens watch
